FireFly Metals released a preliminary economic assessment for its Green Bay copper-gold project in Newfoundland, pairing the study with an institutional financing and share-purchase plan. The company reports a base-case after-tax net present value of about two point two billion Australian dollars, a forty-one percent internal rate of return, and a thirty-two-year mine life. It also announced one hundred eighty million Australian dollars of institutional funding plus a share-purchase plan of up to ten million. Those figures are preliminary estimates, not an ore reserve, feasibility study, financing close, construction decision, or guaranteed return. About twenty-one percent of projected base-case life-of-mine production uses inferred resources, and the assessment carries broad cost accuracy ranges. For FFM, watch financing completion, resource conversion, feasibility work, permits, capital-cost refinement, and whether the board reaches a fully funded final investment decision.
