Eight Globalstar satellites built on Rocket Lab platforms for prime contractor MDA Space were deployed into low Earth orbit. Rocket Lab describes them as the first spacecraft deployed under its disclosed $143 million, seventeen-satellite program. That converts part of the backlog into hardware in orbit, but deployment is not the same as completed commissioning, in-orbit acceptance or full-program delivery. Nine satellites remain, and public releases do not disclose program margin, acceptance economics or the timing of milestone payments. Commissioning problems, later-unit delays or cost pressure could weaken cash conversion, while customer, prime-contractor and platform-supplier concentration adds dependence across the program. Theo's objective is funded milestone discipline: track in-orbit tests and acceptance, delivery of the remaining nine satellites, schedule control, backlog conversion, cash timing and program performance.
