Early Wednesday, Brent crude traded at seventy-eight dollars and ninety-nine cents, down zero point five percent after a five point three percent Tuesday slide. U.S. crude fell zero point nine percent to seventy-five dollars and eight cents. Traders were pricing a possible route toward reopening the Strait of Hormuz, although negotiations were not final.
